Youth Fitness & Sports Performance Training
Ages 8 – 18. Youth Fitness. Strength Training. Sports Performance
FIT & FAST Youth Training Program
Building Stronger, Healthier & More Confident Kids
Kids need to move. They need to build strength. They need to develop confidence. They need to learn how to exercise properly. And they need adults around them who set a positive example and hold them to a higher standard. Unfortunately, too many kids today simply aren’t getting enough physical activity.
Between phones, video games, social media, increased screen time, poor eating habits, poor examples by parents, and increasingly sedentary lifestyles, many young people are entering adulthood without the basic fitness, strength, movement skills, and healthy habits they should have developed growing up.
We want to help change that. At Lake Country Training, our Youth Training programs are designed to help kids ages 8 – 18 become stronger, healthier, more athletic, and more confident. Whether they play competitive sports or simply need to become more physically active we can help them too!
Youth Training Isn’t Just For Athletes
Youth Training Isn’t Just For Athletes. Your child does not need to be an athlete to benefit from training. In fact, some of the kids who can benefit the most are the ones who aren’t currently involved in organized sports. We provide youth fitness & sports performance training for kids and teens throughout Oconomowoc, Lake Country, and surrounding Waukesha County communities.
Our general Youth Fitness Training focuses on helping kids build strength, improve movement, become more physically active, and develop confidence in what their bodies can do. We’re not trying to turn every kid into an athlete. We’re trying to help develop healthier, stronger, more capable young people. Those lessons can last a lifetime.
Youth Sports Performance Training
Train For Your Sport. Build A Better Athlete. For young athletes, simply playing more games isn’t the answer. Athletic development requires training. Our Youth Sports Performance Training is designed to help athletes improve the physical qualities that transfer across virtually every sport.
Programs are adjusted for the athlete’s age, experience, ability, sport, goals, and stage of development. An 8 year old beginner shouldn’t (and quite frankly cannot) train like an 18 year old varsity athlete. We meet kids where they are and build from there.
Stronger Kids. Better Habits. Better Futures.
The goal goes beyond what happens during a workout. We want young people to understand that taking care of their body matters. Strength matters. Movement matters. Nutrition matters. Sleep matters. Effort matters. Consistency matters.
And learning these lessons at 10, 12, or 15 years old is a whole lot easier than trying to undo years of bad habits at 30, 40, or 50. Right, parents? We aren’t interested in quick fixes. We’re interested in helping kids build a foundation they can carry into adulthood.
Meet Your Youth Trainer – Lukas Meyer
Lukas is the primary trainer for Lake Country Training’s Youth Fitness & Sports Performance programs. To learn more about Lukas, visit our About Lake Country Training page.
As a competitive athlete himself, Lukas understands what it takes to train consistently, push through difficult workouts, develop athletic ability, and continue working toward bigger goals. But being a good athlete doesn’t automatically make someone a good coach. Lukas genuinely enjoys working with kids.
He brings energy to his sessions, connects well with young athletes, and provides younger clients with something extremely valuable by being a positive role model who practices what he teaches. He understands the challenges young athletes face because he’s lived them himself. Lukas focuses on teaching kids how to train correctly, work hard, build confidence, and enjoy the process of becoming better.
